ATHENS, Ga. – Following a successful showing at the SEC Championships, the University of Georgia men's and women's swimming and diving teams return home to Gabrielsen Natatorium this weekend for the annual Bulldog Invitational Last Chance Meet.

The meet features prelims and final sessions on both Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26, with prelims starting both days at 10 a.m. Saturday finals will start at 5 p.m., with Sunday finals beginning at 4 p.m. Admission for all sessions is free, with live results available on GeorgiaDogs.com and to paid subscribers on MeetMobile.

Georgia will be joined at Last Chance by SEC rivals Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and South Carolina, as well as regular invite guests Florida State, Georgia Tech, Hawaii, and Miami (Fla.). This year's invite will also include athletes from FIU, George Washington, NC State, and Pitt. The Last Chance meet provides one final opportunity for swimmers to earn an NCAA Championship-qualifying time or improve upon their existing cut. 61 members of the Georgia roster are entered in this weekend's competition, including numerous swimmers who did not compete at the SEC Championships.

Last week in College Station, the Bulldogs posted a strong performance against a loaded conference field, winning a combined 18 medals. The men's team finished in fifth place with 828.5 points and the women's team placed sixth with 756 points. Senior Zoie Hartman won her seventh SEC title in the 200 IM, while fellow senior Bradley Dunham took his first title in the 200 backstroke and sophomore Rachel Stege narrowly defeated her sister in the 500 freestyle. Overall, the Bulldogs posted 58 personal-best times and picked up nine NCAA automatic qualifying times.

Following this weekend's meet, Georgia will turn its attention to the NCAA Championships, beginning with the Zone B Diving Championships on March 5-8 in Knoxville, Tennessee. The NCAA Women's Championships will also take place in Knoxville on March 15-18, followed by the Men's Championships in Minneapolis on March 22-25.
