Georgia defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks Sunday afternoon at Stegeman Coliseum in a five-set battle, having to come back from down 2-1. It was Georgia's sixth win in its last seven matches. Three Bulldogs tipped the double-digit kill mark in the match led by 21 from Kacie Evans. Georgia's defense shined, putting up 19 team blocks and 68 digs. Mackenzie Norris recorded a career-best 11 blocks while Tori Harper and Fischer added eight each. The defense held Arkansas to a .191 hitting clip in the match. Alexa Fortin recorded 18 digs to lead the team followed by 15 from libero Bailey Cox. 22 assists coupled with her 18 digs was Fortin's fourth double-double of the season. Fellow setter Clara Brower also picked up a double-double with 25 assists and 10 digs, her fifth of the season. Georgia hit a combined .513 with 10 blocks and 20 digs in the fourth and fifth sets.Â

Evans is Killing it
Kacie Evans' 4.1 kills per set ranks 37th in the country and second in the SEC. She's third in the conference with a 4.82 points per set average, a clip that currently ranks 25th in the country. Evans tallied 20 kills in three sets against each No. 11 Florida and No. 20 Kentucky.Â

The Great Wall of Fischer
Sophie Fischer has propelled herself toward the top of the country ranking fifth and the top of the SEC with 1.56 blocks per set. Her 142 total blocks also leads the SEC. As a team, Georgia's 2.68 blocks per set ranks second in the SEC. Georgia's block defense has helped hold opponents to a .182 hitting clip, second best in the league. Offensively, Fischer's .344 hitting percentage is sixth in the SEC.Â

Aces Wild
Georgia has consistently had strong serving since Tom Black's arrival in Athens and 2022 has been no difference. Nationally, Georgia's 1.74 aces per set ranks 46th while checking in at second in the SEC. Georgia had a great series at the service line against Auburn, acing the Tigers 21 times in nine sets. Redshirt-sophomore Mackenzie Norris has shined at the service line lately, recording at least one kill in the last nine matches.Â
