HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Georgia volleyball team swept the Tulane Green Wave in three sets (25-20, 25-18, 25-16) behind a .448 hitting percentage to open play at the South Alabama Invitational on Friday.
Georgia improves to 5-2 on the season.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Georgia volleyball team swept the Tulane Green Wave in three sets (25-20, 25-18, 25-16) behind a .448 hitting percentage to open play at the South Alabama Invitational on Friday.
Georgia improves to 5-2 on the season.
FAST FACTS
- Senior Bianna Muoneke led the Bulldogs with 14 kills on an impressive .419 hitting clip on the outside. She recorded 18 points in the match. She had just one error on 31 attempts and served up a team-best three aces.
- As a team, Georgia hit .448 as a team. That number was the third-highest in a three-set match in Georgia's rally scoring era. The Bulldogs committed only three hitting errors in the match.
- Freshman Gigi Artiles (.500, 9 kills), graduate Tori Harper (.545, 6 kills), and senior Alyssa Worden (.308, 5 kills) all contributed to the high offense. Kendal Kemp (.600) and Ceci Gooch (1.000) each had three kills out of the middle.
- A 7-1 scoring run put Georgia ahead 8-2 in the opening set. The Bulldogs hit .484 in the first (16 kills, 1 error), led by five kills from Muoneke and four from Artiles.
- Georgia was down 8-4 early in the second and used a 9-1 run to go up 14-9. Again, Georgia hit very high in the set, hitting .464 to go ahead 2-0 in the match. Muoneke added six kills and was hitting .440 going into the third set.
- Muoneke served up a four-point serving run in the third, including back-to-back aces, to go ahead 7-3. The Dogs didn't look back and hit .393 en route to the sweep.
