Let's Recap
Georgia hosted No. 3 LSU over the weekend in a three-game series. Tied going to the seventh of game one, LSU plated two runs in the top of the inning. Georgia put the tying run on in the bottom of the inning, but LSU fended off the comeback to take the opener. The Tigers used a six-run fourth in game two to power past the Dogs in six innings, 10-2. The Bulldogs flipped the offensive script in the finale, using a seven-run third innings, highlighted by a Mua Williams grand slam, to run rule the third-ranked Tigers in five innings to salvage a game in the series.
Â
Battle Tested in SEC Play
In Georgia's softball's 29-year history, the Bulldogs have never opened SEC play against three straight top-10 opponents until this season. The only time a Georgia team came close was in 2017 when UGA faced four top 25 opponents to start SEC play (No. 17, 12, 5, 3).
Â
