Georgia volleyball returns to Stegeman Coliseum this week to host South Carolina on Friday and Ole Miss on Sunday.
Friday's match against South Carolina will feature 10K Day at Stegeman Coliseum. Giveaways, a Block Party, and prizes will be given out as Georgia will attempt the beat the Georgia state attendance record for an NCAA volleyball match. First serve is set for 7 p.m. Sunday's match will start at 1 p.m. airing live on SEC Network.

- Block Party: 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Smith Street, complete with face painters, balloon artists, and food trucks
- The first 2,000 UGA students will receive replica jerseys and free food
- The first 2,000 fans will receive 10K Day t-shirts
- UGA students can win prizes throughout the match including an all-expenses-paid trip to the Georgia-Florida game in Jacksonville courtesy of the Georgia Lottery

- Admission is FREE to all regular-season home volleyball matches. Gates open one hour prior to first serve.
- The first 30 fans to enter through Gate A at Stegeman Coliseum will receive a wristband and can sit court side. Food and beverage will be provided for those fans.
- The SEC Clear Bag Policy will be in effect.
- All concessions and merchandise transactions are cashless/contactless.

Georgia concluded its three-match SEC-opening road swing over the weekend, falling to No. 24 Auburn in four sets on Friday then falling in a closely-fought five-set battle at Alabama on Sunday.

Georgia's homestand concludes Friday, Oct. 18 when Oklahoma comes to Athens to face the Bulldogs for the first time in the new SEC era. First serve is set for 7 p.m. Georgia then travels to No. 7 Texas on Sunday, Oct. 20 for a showdown with the Longhorns. Georgia and Texas will begin at 2 p.m., ET, in Austin.
Fischer Named to Watch List for Di Player of the Year Award
Sophie Fischer was named to the 2024 AVCA Division I Player of the Year Award, presented by Nike Volleyball. The inaugural list includes 36 players from 21 schools. This Watch List will be narrowed down in November, and then the names of the finalists will be released before the AVCA Convention. The 2024 AVCA Player of the Year will be announced on Friday, Dec. 20, in Louisville, KY, during the AVCA Convention.
Lovett Has Career Match at Arkansas
Graduate Erykah Lovett had not only a career match at Arkansas, she also made Georgia history in the match. She tallied a career-high 33 kills, becoming the first Georgia Bulldog to register 30 kills since Maria Taylor on Sept. 6, 2008 at Duke. Her 33 set a new Georgia rally scoring record, topping Taylor's mark of 32. Lovett picked up her third double-double, tying a career-high 21 digs. Lovett's 22nd kill of the match not only set a new career high but it was also the 1,000th kill of her collegiate career. She topped 1,000 digs last Friday and is now a career Double Grand Club member.
Aces Wild
Once again, the Bulldogs are among the top serving teams in the league, ranking fourth with 1.82 aces per set and fourth in the SEC with 102 total service aces. Georgia has topped 10 aces in a match three times in 2024. Georgia set a program record with 19 service aces against Washington on Sept. 7. The new mark topped the previous record of 17 set in 2017. Sophie Fischer (7) and Erykah Lovett (6) each set a career best at the service line in the match.
Lending a Helping Hand
Senior setter Clara Brower topped the 3,000 assist mark against Georgia Tech on Sept. 20. She ranks eighth all-time at Georgia in the category. She ranked fourth in the SEC with 10.36 assists per set last season. The Bulldogs concluded the regular season hitting .243, fifth best in the SEC.
