Bulldogs Fall in Closely Contested 3-1 Match to No. 21 Indiana

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The University of Georgia volleyball team fell to 21^st-ranked Indiana on the opening day of the 2026 Allstate Big Ten/SEC Challenge at Mackey Arena, 3-1 (24-26, 22-25, 25-22, 17-25).

Georgia is now 3-1 on the season.

Graduate Bianna Muoneke led the match with a season-high 22 kills on a .309 hitting percentage. She narrowly missed a double-double with nine digs.
Freshman Gigi Artiles registered 11 kills with eight digs and three blocks.
In her first match as a Bulldog, senior Alyssa Worden put up a team-high 11 digs. On the offensive side of the ball, she recorded six kills.
Sophomore setter Chloe Elarton dished out a career-high 36 assists. She, too, just missed a double-double with nine digs.
Graduate Kendal Kemp put up a match-high eight blocks.
In total, the match was tied 37 times, 36 in the first three sets alone. The lead changed in the match 14 times.
The first set featured 16 ties and six lead changes in the closely battled opening frame. Georgia tied the set at 24, before dropping the frame 26-24.
Georgia trailed by as much as five in the second set but erased the deficit to take a 16-15 lead on a 4-0 run. Knotted at 20, Indiana held on to take the set 25-22.
The Bulldogs kept the match alive with a 25-22 set three win. Muoneke topped her season-high kill mark in the set. Muoneke recorded eight kills on a .571 hitting percentage in the set.
