‘Distance Dawgs’ Travel to Raleigh Relays

ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia's track and field teams traveled a distance corps to North Carolina for this week's Raleigh Relays.
A total of 14 Bulldog men and women made the trip and will be competing in events ranging from the 1500 meters, 3000m steeplechase and 5000m on Thursday and Friday.
When Do The Dogs Start: All seven of the men traveling will compete on day one. Clay Pender and Zack Truitt will start the meet in the 1500m at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
On Friday, all 14 Lady Bulldogs will take the start line, beginning with Charlotte Augenstein, Simone Rojas and Lily Cincola in the 1500m at 4:20 p.m.

What Dogs Are Competing: On the women's side, Lorel Golden (3000m steeplechase), Ellie Hall (5000m), Audrey Knoper (5000m) and Gracie O'Neal (3000m steeplechase) are the other Lady Bulldogs scheduled to compete at N.C. State's meet.
For the men, Sam Bowers (5000m), Chase Condra (5000m), Cole Heron (3000m steeplechase), Wesley John (3000m steeplechase) and Zachary Roe (5000m) are also slated to battle versus a wide range of teams.
Glimpse At Where This Season Will Take The Dogs: This meet marks the second of 10 scheduled regular season outdoor meets over seven weekends, including the Spec Towns & Torrin Lawrence Invitational (April 6-8) in Athens on the Spec Towns Track.
The SEC Championships will arrive on May 11-13 in Baton Rouge, La., with the NCAA East Prelims scheduled for May 24-27 in Jacksonville, Fla. The 2023 NCAA Championships are in Austin, Texas, on June 7-10.
