HEAR FROM HAACK
"The Puerto Rico Classic is one of our favorite tournaments of the year. It is traditionally our first tournament of the Spring and is always a great measuring stick, with a strong field. Our guys have been working hard and are ready to be tested."

ABOUT THE PUERTO RICO CLASSIC
The 30th edition of the Puerto Rico Classic will tee off this Sunday. Hosted by Purdue, the Puerto Rico Classic dates back to 1993 and was held at Rio Mar Country Club for 28 years before moving to the Grand Reserve Golf Course in 2022.

2023 marks the 24th appearance in the Puerto Rico Classic for a Georgia squad. The Bulldogs have tallied five Puerto Rico Classic championships (2006, 2007, 2009, 2015 and 2019), three runner-up finishes and four third place showings. The Bulldogs have also claimed individual medalist honors twice – Chris Kirk in 2006, 205 (-11) and Hudson Swafford in 2009, 204 (-12).

In 2022, Georgia finished second with a three-round total of 53-under-par 811 (265-268-278). The Bulldogs set the 18-hole scoring record in the opening round of 2022 at 23-under-par 265 and the second-lowest 18-hole round at 20-under-par 268.
