Georgia’s Season Ends After Round Three of NCAA Championship

CARLSBAD, Calif. --- The Georgia men's golf team's season ended after finishing the third round of stroke play at the NCAA National Championship in 20th place at 12-over.  The Bulldogs shot five-over on the day at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California on Sunday.  
 
FAST FACTS: 
  • Senior Carter Loflin finished his Bulldog career shooting 1-over on the day and even after three rounds.  He tied for 47th on the leaderboard. 
  • Sophomore James Earle carded 3-under in the third round to finish 1-under and tied for 32nd on the leaderboard. 
  • Junior Grayson Wood finished 4-over on the day and after three rounds to land at tied for 72nd overall.  
  • Sophomore Matt Moloney shot 3-over to finish 11-over at the championship. 
  • This marks the end of head coach Chris Haack's illustrious career. The Bulldogs advanced to the NCAA Championship 24 of 29 times under Coach Haack (excluding 2020 due to COVID-19). He led the Bulldogs to the 1999 and 2005 national titles, runner-up finishes in 2007 and 2011, and the national semifinals in 2015.
