Bulldogs Capping Fall In Pate Intercollegiate

ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia men's golf team will conclude the fall portion of its schedule next week in the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate.
The tournament will run Sunday through Tuesday at Old Overton Club in Vestavia Hills, Ala. The course has been set up as a par-70 covering 7,204 yards.
The Bulldogs will use a lineup of fifth-year player Spencer Ralston, senior Davis Thompson, junior Trent Phillips, and sophomores Nicolas Cassidy and Connor Creasy.
Thompson paced the Bulldogs in their earlier fall events, taking fourth in the Blessings Collegiate Invitational and fifth in the Vanderbilt Legends Collegiate.
Creasy and Ralston, with one tournament appearance each, lead Georgia with scoring averages of 68.67 and 69.00, respectively. Thompson is next at 69.17, followed by Phillips at 71.83, and Cassidy at 76.33.
As with Georgia's other fall tournaments, the field will consist entirely of the 14 Southeastern Conference teams.
The Bulldogs will be paired with Arkansas and Alabama for the first round on Sunday. The teams will open on Nos. 5-8 with a 1:20 p.m. shotgun start.
