Georgia in fourth place at the NCAA Athens Regional

ATHENS, Ga. – The Georgia men's golf team shot 7-under par in round two to move to solo fourth place at the NCAA Athens Regional. The Bulldogs' total after both rounds is 12-under par.
FAST FACTS:

Senior Carter Loflin used six birdies to jump up to a tie for 11th at 4-under par. Five of his six birdies were on consecutive holes. He is also tied for third against the field on par 3s, shooting 2-under par on those respective holes.

Junior Grayson Wood also had six birdies, four of which came on consecutive holes, to shoot 4-under and move to a tie for 27th.

Loflin and Freshman JD Culbreth are tied for fourth in the field for total pars with 26. Sophomore Matt Moloney is ranked third on the par 5s, shooting 5-under par.

Moloney remains at 3-under par and sits tied for 16th place. Culbreth and sophomore James Earle both sit at even par and tied for 31st ahead of round three.

As a team, Georgia is finding the most success on the par 4s, combining to shoot 5-under par, which is tied for third in the field.

Vanderbilt leads at 22-under par. Louisville is close behind at 19-under, and Auburn sits in third at 14-under.
