A Look Back
Georgia suffered a sweep at the hands of #5 Alabama over the weekend. The Bulldogs fell in the opener on Saturday 7-1 then were shutout for the first time this season on Sunday, 4-0. In Monday's finale, errors cost Georgia as all four Alabama runs were unearned. The night was highlighted by the first career home run of Tyler Armistead in her home state. Also during the game, senior Alyssa DiCarlo was drafted as the fourth-overall pick of the NPF Draft to the Chicago Bandits.

Georgia in the Polls
The Bulldogs dropped to #16 in the week 10 USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll while falling to #22 in the USA Softball/ESPN.com Poll.

DiCarlo Draft #4 Pick by Chicago Bandits
Shortstop Alyssa DiCarlo was drafted by the Chicago Bandits in the NPF Draft on Apr. 15. DiCarlo was taken as the fourth-overall pick of the 2019 NPF Draft. DiCarlo becomes the 14th player drafted out of Georgia in the history of the NPF Draft. 2019 is the fourth-straight year a Bulldog has been chosen in the draft and the sixth in that span. The Bandits have drafted three players from Georgia in the history of the draft, the first being Megan Wiggins in 2011. DiCarlo will join Georgia assistant coach Rachele Fico on the Bandits along with former Bulldog Kristyn Sandberg.

Coaching Milestones
Lu Harris-Champer will look to record her 1,100th-career victory as a head coach this week. A win this weekend would also be her 300th SEC win. 300 conference wins ranks behind Alabama's Patrick Murphy who recorded SEC win number 400 earlier this season.

With 1,099 wins, Harris-Champer ranks fourth among active coaches in the SEC behind Ralph and Karen Weekly (1,380; 1,102) and Jo Evans (1,217).

DiCarlo Continues to Topple Career Records
In the Mar. 10 game against Western Illinois at Jack Turner Stadium, Alyssa DiCarlo became Georgia's new all-time home runs leader. She hit two home runs in the game to tie then break the record with home runs 58 and 59.

In the first inning at Auburn (Mar. 29), DiCarlo doubled down the left field line to plate CJ Landrum, recording career RBI 237 and breaking Georgia's all-time career RBI record.

The extra-base hits record fell in the series finale against Texas A&M (Apr. 7) with a two-run home run in the first inning. It was career extra-base hit 122 (53 doubles, 4 triples, 65 home runs).

The Fastest to 20 Home Runs
With a first-inning home run against Texas A&M on Apr. 7, Alyssa DiCarlo became the fastest Bulldog to hit 20 home runs, doing it in 41 games. Alisa Goler held the previous mark, doing it in 47 games in 2009. Only five Bulldogs have topped the 20-home run mark. DiCarlo joins Alex Hugo as the only Bulldogs to do it twice. DiCarlo had 21 last season.

In the Mar. 6 game at Georgia Tech, DiCarlo hit her 10th home run of the season. She reached the 10-home run mark in 21 games, tying Goler to the fastest Bulldog to 10 home runs in a season (2009).

Bryan Carries a Hot Bat
Junior Ciara Bryan hit a home run in four-straight games (Mar. 24-30). She became the first Bulldog to accomplish that feat since Alex Hugo did it in 2014.

Clutch Freshman
Freshman Savana Sikes has propelled to second on the team with 44 RBI in her rookie season. Sikes' 44 RBI stands as second-most by a freshman in the NCAA and 28th overall. The Douglasville native has hit two grand slams this season.

Walk It Out
Averaging 0.93 walks per game, Lacey Fincher ranks eighth nationally and third in the SEC. Alyssa DiCarlo ranks behind Fincher with 0.91 walks per game, ranking ninth in the nation and fourth in the league. Speaking in terms of freshman, Kristyn Sandberg holds the most by a freshman, drawing 52 in 2012.

Avant Nearly Secures No-Hitter at Auburn
In the second game at Auburn on Mar. 30, junior Mary Wilson Avant carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning. She lost her bid with one out left, surrendering an inside-the-park home run. It could have been the first no-hitter of an SEC opponent since 2009 (at Arkansas).

I Volunteer as Tribute
Freshman Savana Sikes is currently tied for 20th in the country with four sacrifice flies in her rookie season. That figure ranks second in the SEC.

Bulldogs Offense Nationally
Georgia currently ranks among the nation's best in scoring (15th, 6.59 runs per game), 13th in slugging percentage (.548) and 20th in on base percentage (.408). Additionally, the Bulldogs rank ninth with 1.43 home runs per game. Individually, Alyssa DiCarlo is fourth in the nation in home runs (20) and third in total bases (122) along with being second in slugging (1.025) and 11th in RBI (49).

DiCarlo Leads Active Career Leaders in, Home Runs, RBI, and Total Bases
Senior Alyssa DiCarlo leads active Division I softball student-athletes with 65 home runs, 243 RBI, and 513 total bases. In additional categories, she ranks fourth in doubles (53).
