Bulldogs Travel to Terre Haute for John McNichols Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Georgia men's and women's cross country is set to travel to Terre Haute, Ind., for the John McNichols Invitational, hosted by Indiana State, on Saturday morning at LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.

The Bulldogs will have an opportunity to compete on the course that will play host to the 2026 NCAA Championship races, giving Georgia a chance to gain experience on the challenging Terre Haute course ahead of the postseason.

The No. 20-ranked men will go up against 11 ranked teams, including No. 6 Colorado, No. 7 Northern Arizona, No. 9 BYU, No. 11 Washington State, No. 12 Eastern Kentucky, No. 13 Syracuse, No. 16 Butler, No. 17 Michigan State, No. 21 Florida, No. 23 Air Force and No. 24 California Baptist.

The women will go up against 10 ranked teams, including No. 7 West Virginia, No. 8 Northern Arizona, No. 9 Stanford, No.11 Northwestern, No. 14 Florida, No. 18 Colorado, No. 20 Utah, No. 21 Washington State, No. 22 Washington, and No. 25 Toledo.

Georgia enters the meet after a strong showing at last week's Covered Bridge Open. The women swept the top five individual spots in the 5K race, led by sophomore Addison Scott, who crossed the finish line first in 17:22.00. Scott recorded a 28-second personal record in the race.

Sophomore Madeline Holland finished second, followed by sophomore Anastasia Nilsson, junior Ceyda Pinar and sophomore Elise Wooddell to complete Georgia's top five.

On the Men's side, the Bulldogs claimed the top two individual finishes in the 6K race . Senior Ryan Olree crossed the line first in 17:45.10, followed by senior Conner Rutherford in 17:45.20. Both runners recorded 15-second personal bests.

Competition will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET on Saturday morning with the women's 6K Championship race, followed by the men's 8K Championship race at 9:05 a.m. ET.
