On the result and Addisen Fisher's performance…
"Just so thankful. Bulldog Nation just showed up two days in a row. Yesterday was awesome. Today was even better in terms of the number of people. I thought the energy that they brought to the game today really gave our girls a little extra juice, and that's what it took to get on top. Just really proud of the way Addisen [Fisher] responded and pitched. I thought she pitched her tail off, and the defense had her back with some really big defensive plays. We did enough on offense to get the W. Then, speaking of Addi, coming back, first inning kind of got settled in and then just got better after they went in. Really dominant after that first inning. They got two hits, but they were ground ball hits. That's just odds of the game stuff. We challenged her a little bit to pitch to her standard, and that is, she's got to get the ball down in the zone. She's got to get the ball to the sides of the plate. When she does that, she's as good as anybody in the country. I thought today she responded really well. I thought she competed instead of just trying to throw pitches. I thought she really competed, and that's what she's capable of. I think she's got even more."
On the offensive performance…
"Really impressive day at the plate. I thought we had a lot of really good at-bats. I thought we controlled the strike zone pretty well. They do a lot of speed variation and fast and slow, and it's not easy. I thought our girls hung in there, and we had some people have some really big days at the plate.
On the message going forward…
"We're coming down to the home stretch, and you're trying to get to a place where you're playing your best softball as you head to the end. If we're going to get where we want to by the end of the season, we have to be able to find a way to win games against teams like that, as good as they are. We have a good team, too, and we're still fighting to find that belief of what we can be. Certainly, today was a good start."
