No. 1 Bulldogs Set to Face No. 58 Kentucky, No. 6 Tennessee

ATHENS, Ga. — The No. 1 Georgia women's tennis team is set to continue Southeastern Conference play, first traveling to face No. 58 Kentucky on Friday, March 7 at 1 p.m. ET in Lexington, Ky., followed by hosting No. 6 Tennessee on Sunday, March 9 at 1 p.m. ET at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

  • The Bulldogs lead the all-time series 42-10 all-time against the Wildcats, winning each of the last 15 meetings against Kentucky.
  • Against the Lady Volunteers, Georgia is 56-9 all-time while currently riding a 17-match win streak against Tennessee.

No. 2 Georgia continued SEC play with a 4-0 sweep over Florida on Sunday, March 2 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. After the Gators defaulted doubles court three due to injury, the Bulldogs opened the match with a one court lead as #25 Dasha Vidmanova and Mell Reasco defeated Alicia Dudeney and Bente Spee, 6-1, on court one to secure the doubles point. Heading into singles, Georgia began with an automatic 2-0 lead due to Florida defaulting on court six due to injury. On court three, Reasco earned the Bulldogs' third team point with a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Talia Neilson-Gatenby. Later, #56 Guillermina Grant secured the clinch for Georgia, earning a 6-3, 6-4 result over Noemie Oliveras on court five. The victory extended the Bulldogs' winning streak against the Gators to 10 matches.
