BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – The No. 10 Georgia GymDogs finished the 2025 SEC Gymnastics Championships tied for third on Saturday afternoon in session I, ultimately tying for seventh at the conclusion of session II in the evening.

"It was a tough night for us overall, but we had some really great performances. Csenge led us off strong on bars and nailed her other two events. Ja' Free delivered on bars and beam after the previous two athletes had major errors, which is tough to do, but she did it with confidence."

"We are looking forward to getting back in the gym to prepare for regionals and are determined to bounce back! We are positioned well to put on a great showing at regionals and move forward from there. - So. Lily Smith recorded her sixth score of 9.900+ on the bars this season, securing a 9.925 as anchor on the GymDogs' starting rotation of the meet. This routine tied Smith for second in session I's bars competition.Â
- Smith additionally tied for first on the floor event in session I with a 9.925, finishing eighth overall in the floor competition.
- Jr. Csenge Bácskay provided consistency to the Georgia team, recording a 9.875 on bars, 9.850 on floor and 9.800 on vault on Saturday afternoon. Similarly, Jr. Eryn Williams captured her eighth score of 9.850+ as the starter on the floor rotation, performing her second consecutive 9.875 for Georgia on the event.
- Fr. Nyla Aquino recorded her third-highest career vault with a 9.875. Aquino also celebrated her 19thbirthday.Â
