Key Quotes
Ike Cousins Head Baseball Coach Wes Johnson
On Brian Curley's performance and the win
"Brian came out and pounded the strike zone with multiple pitches, and the offense scored in seven of the nine innings, so it was a lot of fun today. After Friday's win, I told the guys, nothing carries over. Play with energy and not emotion. Play with focus. We came out today, and we were doing it. These guys understand that. It's no different than tomorrow. The score doesn't carry over. We have to come out Sunday and play this game one pitch at a time. I want to say thanks to all our fans who came out to Gainesville the past two days too."
On the big day by Brennan Hudson and Christian Adams
"Our matchup card was screaming to play Brennan (Hudson) and Christian Adams against their starter. We really liked it, and I thought they had a good BP (batting practice). Christian had a four-hit day so that's why you do those things."
Devin Obee | Sr. | OF
On Saturday's series win with an early start
"It was good to come out today and get another win. Coaches told us last night to get straight to bed. Eat, sleep, hydrate. It was an emotional Friday night win, but coach said as soon as it hits 12 o'clock, you have to reset and get ready for Saturday. That's our mentality. We reset; it was 0-0 on Saturday morning when we arrived. We did that, and you saw how it turned out today."
