Tori Harper Named to SEC Volleyball Community Service Team
November 20, 2025 | Volleyball
ATHENS, Ga. – University of Georgia redshirt-junior middle blocker Tori Harper has been named to the 2025 Southeastern Conference Volleyball Community Service team, the league announced Thursday.
"This award is a perfect statement on who Tori is and what she's about," Georgia head coach Tom Black said. "Tori is someone who adds value in every area of her life. She always gives more than she takes. We are lucky to have her and are beyond proud of this recognition for her."
Harper, a native of Reno, Nevada, has partnered with UGA's counseling services and athletic department to promote mental health resources for student-athletes. She is an advocate and a strong voice for student-athletes' mental health and well-being. She has volunteered at food banks and soup kitchens, helping to sort donations, pack food boxes, and serve meals to those in need. She has also volunteered at youth sports camps, leading team-building exercises to teach kids about trust, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
She was named a nominee for the inaugural Allstate NACDA Fall Good Works Team in August, and she was Georgia's representative on the 2024 SEC Volleyball Community Service Team. In the classroom, she has appeared on the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll in 2023 and 2024 and was a member of the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll in 2022-23.
On the court, Harper has started every match for the Bulldogs and played in all 92 sets. She's registered 1.21 blocks per set, a number that ranks sixth in the SEC. On the offensive side of the ball, she's put down 1.07 kills per set with a .276 hitting clip in the middle. She's also one of the top servers on the team, co-leading the team with 24 service aces. She was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 8.
The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 22 league-sponsored sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
The Bulldogs open play at the 2025 Allstate SEC Volleyball Tournament on Saturday in Savannah. Georgia will face the winner of Friday's first round matchup between Mississippi State and Vanderbilt at 5 p.m. on Saturday. The match will stream live on SEC Network+.
