Muoneke Named Preseason All-SEC Team

ATHENS, Ga. – University of Georgia senior outside hitter Bianna Muoneke has been voted to the 2026 Volleyball Preseason All-SEC Team, the league announced Wednesday. 
 
Additionally, Georgia has been picked to finish sixth in the SEC by the league's head coaches. Kentucky was picked to win the league, followed by Texas, Texas A&M, Florida, and Tennessee. 
 
Muoneke, from Cypress, Texas, was an AVCA All-America honorable mention last season. She was named AVCA All-Southeast Region Team and was an All-SEC First Team member. She played in 93 sets in 25 starts and led the Bulldogs with 4.02 kills per set, hitting .286 on the season. Muoneke concluded the season 10th in the SEC in kills per set, 11th with 4.49 points per set, and ninth with 10.43 attacks per set. On the defensive side, she finished second on the team with 2.23 digs per set and put up 42 blocks. 
 
Off the court, she was named CSC Academic All-District and appeared on the Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll. She graduated in December with her degree in Sociology and has started pursuing her Master's in Public Health. 
 
The Bulldogs will open the season at Stegeman Coliseum, hosting the Classic City Clash Aug. 28-29. Georgia will welcome North Florida, George Washington, and Furman in the six-match round robin tournament. Admission to every Georgia home match is free. 
 
Georgia returns 11 student-athletes, including four starters from last season's roster. The Bulldogs added six newcomers in the offseason: two transfers and four freshmen. The 2026 season will be the 10th under the direction of head coach Tom Black
