SAN FRANCISCO – Two Bulldogs stand tied for eighth individually as the No. 22 Georgia men's golf team ended round one of The Goodwin tied for first late Monday evening at TPC Harding Park.

Georgia finished the day at one-under-par, 279 to tie with Stanford and Tennessee at the top of the team leaderboards. BYU, who shot even-par 280, and Pepperdine at one-over rounds out the top five. The team was paced by Buck Brumlow and Ben van Wyk, who each carded a one-under 69 to place t-eighth heading into the second round.

All four of the Bulldogs' counting scores featured players in the top 30 of the individual standings. Brumlow's round featured a tournament-best 17 pars and a birdie on hole three, while van Wyk earned the only eagle in the field on number 10, a 562-yard, par five. Graduate Beck Burnette shot even-par 70 with birdies on holes two, four and 10 to place t-21. Both Connor Creasy and Caleb Manuel, who is competing as an individual, stand t-28^th at one-over 71.

Georgia will return for round two of The Goodwin on Friday, March 29, with Manuel and the team set to tee off at 12:05 p.m. ET.
