Recapping Action
Georgia concluded a stretch of 6-of-7 matches at Stegeman Coliseum over the weekend, dropping a four set match to Tennessee on Friday and suffering its first loss via sweep on Sunday against No. 14 Kentucky.

A Look at What's Ahead
Georgia has a short break from competition before hitting the road for Knoxville on Nov. 15 then on to Lexington Nov. 17. The swing is in the midst of four-straight on the road. First serve against the Lady Vols on Friday is set for 6:30 p.m. with Sunday's matchup against the Wildcats set for 1:30 p.m. Georgia concludes the road stretch at Texas A&M on Nov. 22.

8,376 Pack Stegeman for Georgia State Record
The University of Georgia welcomed 8,736 Bulldog faithful to Stegeman Coliseum on Friday, Oct. 11. The number not only shattered the program attendance record, but also set a new mark for an NCAA volleyball match in the state of Georgia, topping the previous mark of 5,303 set by Georgia Tech in 2023. Georgia defeat South Carolina in a five-set thriller.

Aces Wild
The Bulldogs are among the top serving teams in the league, ranking fourth with 1.75 aces per set and third in the SEC with 149 total service aces. Erykah Lovett ranks fifth in the league with 0.37 aces per set. Georgia has topped 10 aces in a match three times in 2024. Georgia set a program record with 19 service aces against Washington on Sept. 7. The new mark topped the previous record of 17 set in 2017.

Fischer Records 1,000th UGA Kill
Sophie Fischer recorded the 1,000th kill of her Georgia career in the opening set of Sunday's match against Ole Miss. She is the 20th member of Georgia's 1,000 Kill Club.

Fischer Named to Watch List for Di Player of the Year Award
Sophie Fischer was named to the 2024 AVCA Division I Player of the Year Award, presented by Nike Volleyball. The inaugural list includes 36 players from 21 schools. This Watch List will be narrowed down in November, and then the names of the finalists will be released before the AVCA Convention. The 2024 AVCA Player of the Year will be announced on Friday, Dec. 20, in Louisville, KY, during the AVCA Convention.
