Georgia Earns 30 CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia men's and women's swimming and diving teams continued a tradition of strong academic success as they received 30 Scholar All-America citations from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America.
The women's program received 11 First Team and four Second Team honors, while the men's team earned six First Team and nine Second Team accolades. SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year Callie Dickinson received her fifth career honor, while senior Millie Sansome earned her fourth career citation. Graduate Marie Schobel, seniors Ananda Lim and Ashley McCauley and junior Meghan Wenzel were each recognized for the third time.
Alongside the veterans honored, eight freshmen: Olivia Della Torre, Shea Furse, Elizabeth Isakson, Kristian Pitshugin, Sam Powe, Tyler Schroeder, Aaron Seymour, and Heidi Stalkfleet opened their careers with citations. Additionally, both the men's and women's teams were named Scholar All-America Teams with the women posting a 3.55 spring semester team GPA and the men turning in a 3.33 GPA.
To qualify for First Team honors, student-athletes must have earned a minimum GPA of 3.50 and participated in the NCAA Championships. Second Team selections also earned a minimum 3.50 GPA and achieved an NCAA "B" standard or participated at Diving Zones.
