Georgia run ruled the Kennesaw State Owls Wednesday evening in five innings at Jack Turner Stadium, 9-0. Georgia's seven-game win streak matches its longest of the season (Feb. 24-March 3). Sara Mosley was responsible for two of Georgia's seven hits while Sydney Chambley and Sydney Kuma each drove in three runs. Jaiden Fields and Kuma each drew two walks. Shelby Walter worked four shutout innings in her start, allowing just three hits. She struck out five and walked zero Owls.

The Bulldogs will have not have a midweek contest next week and will prepare for a three-game home series against No. 13 Kentucky. The series will play out Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Sunday and Monday's games will air in primetime on SEC Network.Â

Georgia's most recent 5-1 start was in 2018. That season, Georgia went on to go 7-2 through three series. The Bulldogs opened the 2013 SEC schedule 6-0 before being swept in week three. Georgia's best-ever start to SEC play was in 2005 when the Bulldogs went 13-0 en route to an SEC Championship. This season's five-game SEC win streak is the best since 2019. The last time Georgia won six straight was 2013 when the Bulldogs did it twice.

Goodwin Shines in Texas A&M Series
Freshman Jaydyn Goodwin was a key member in Georgia's series sweep of Texas A&M. Down 5-4 in the seventh inning of game two, Goodwin provided a one-out single to plate two runs and put Georgia back in front 6-5. The hit proved to be the game-winning hit, allowing Georgia to clinch the series. She drove five of Georgia's eight runs in the finale, first putting the Bulldogs on the board with a three-run home run in the opening frame, then driving in two more with a double to left center in the sixth to bring Georgia's lead to 8-0. Her five RBI were a season best. Her seven RBI were a team best in the series. Â
