ATHENS, Ga. --- The University of Georgia gymnastics team is set to face its first Southeastern Conference opponent this week as the GymDogs travel to Columbia, Missouri to face the Tigers.  The meet is scheduled for Friday, January 13 at 7 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on the SEC Network from the Hearnes Center.  
 
In the first meet of the season, the GymDogs finished second at the Super 16 with a 195.950.  Stanford finished first with a score of 196.175.  Behind Georgia was Oregon State (195.450) and Rutgers (194.700). The GymDogs' best event score came in the final rotation on bars, which was the highest among the four teams on that apparatus. Graduate Josie Angeny notched the highest bars score of the night with a 9.900 and senior Amanda Cashman's floor routine received the second-highest mark of the night on that event- a 9.925.  
 
Georgia holds a 23-5 all-time record against the Tigers. Missouri finished ahead of Georgia at the 2022 SEC Championship.
