ATHENS, Ga. — Five of eight golfers who will return to the Georgia women's golf roster this fall were in action last week in domestic and international events.

Jenny Bae, Caroline Craig and Jo Hua Hung all competed in qualifiers for the U.S. Women's Amateur, while Isabella Holpfer and Candice Mahé represented Austria and France, respectively, at the European Ladies Team Championships.

Bae fired a 1-under 71 at West Pines Golf Club in Douglasville, Ga., on Wednesday to tie for fifth on the leaderboard. She fell one stroke shy of claiming a qualifying for the U.S. Women's Am and then came up short in a playoff for a potential alternate spot for the field.

Craig and Hung both shot 1-over 72 at the Country Club of Salisbury in Salisbury, N.C., on Thursday, tying for 11th in the field of 79 golfers. Both Bulldogs also came up a stroke shy of qualifying for the field for the Amateur.

Mahé finished 57th and helped France end up 11th while Holpfer placed 88th and Austria was ninth in two rounds of stroke play qualifying in the Euros at Conwy Golf Club in Wales. Mahé then posted a 2-0-1 record as the French won three rounds of match play to win the Flight B bracket of the championships. Holpfer's Austrian team notched a 2-1 record in match play to finish in 11th place overall among the 20 nations competing.

Bae, Craig and Hung will return to action this week, with all three Bulldogs competing in the North & South Amateur at the Pinehurst No. 2 & No. 4 courses in Pinehurst, N.C.
