A Look at What's Ahead
The 2022 regular season will wrap up next weekend in Athens when Ole Miss comes to town for a three-game series. The series begins Friday evening at 6 p.m. at Jack Turner Stadium. Georgia will then set its sights on the SEC Softball Tournament in Gainesville, Florida May 10-14.

Let's Recap
Georgia beat Furman Wednesday evening 9-2 in the Bulldogs' final midweek game of the 2022 season. Georgia's nine runs came on nine hits from nine different hitters in the lineup. Ellie Armistead highlighted the offense with her first-career grand slam in the fourth, her ninth home run of the season. Six of Georgia's nine hitters in the starting lineup contributed a hit Wednesday. Lauren Mathis picked up the win in the circle. Mathis worked four complete innings and fanned a season-high nine hitters, allowing both runs on four hits. Britton Rogers, Riley Orcutt, and Kylie Macy all saw time out of the pen to combine for the final three innings.

Chasing Home Run History
Georgia has hit 88 home runs this season. That number ranks fifth all-time in program history. Team 26 will look to break the program record of 99 home runs in a season set by the 2010 squad. The 2010 team played 63 games and finished as a final four team in Oklahoma City. That team's roster included Alisa Goler, Megan Wiggins, Kristyn Sandberg, and Taylor Schlopy who all rank among Georgia's all-time home run leaders.

Dogs Dig the Long Ball
Georgia slugged 16 home runs in five games of the Bulldog Classic (3/4-3/6). Prior to the weekend, Georgia ranked 18th in the country with 1.31 home runs per game. After the weekend, the Bulldogs skyrocketed to fifth nationally and first in the SEC with a 1.76 average. The Bulldogs hit eight against South Carolina then seven against Tennessee. Georgia's 1.80 average currently ranks eighth nationally and second in the SEC. Georgia is one of four schools nationally with at least five players with 10-plus home runs this season. Georgia's co-home run leaders Sara Mosley (14) and Lacey Fincher (14) rank top five in the SEC. The Bulldogs have hit multiple home runs in 29 games this season.

Mosley Makes History
Junior third baseman Sara Mosley made Georgia history April 23 against LSU when she went 5-for-5 at the plate. She is only the second Bulldog to ever have five hits in a game and the first since the great Kim Wendland did it against Western Illinois on March 9, 2004. Mosley is only one of 11 players to scatter five hits in Division I this season.

Georgia in the Polls
Georgia checked in at No. 15 in both the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll in Week 11. The Bulldogs came in at No. 16 in the D1Softball and Softball America polls. Georgia's RPI came in at 19.

Georgia Top 10 Nationally in Offensive Averages
The Bulldogs currently rank top five nationally in on-base percentage (.416), slugging (.610), and scoring (7.16 runs/game). Georgia ranks third in the SEC in batting average (.331) while checking in second in slugging, on-base percentage, and scoring.
