PALO ALTO, Calif. — Georgia's women's golf team posted a 16-over 300 at the Stanford Intercollegiate on Saturday, dropping the Bulldogs from sixth to 14th place on the leaderboard entering the final round.
The Bulldogs started on No. 10 and played the back side of the course first on Saturday. Georgia covered the first three holes at 3-under to surge to third before struggling thereafter.
Jenny Bae led Georgia with a 2-over 73. The Bulldogs also counted a 74 from Candice Mahé, a 76 from Isabella Holpfer and a 77, the score signed for by both Caterina Don and Jo Hua Hung.
Top-ranked Stanford extended its lead to seven shots after carding a 3-under 281. The Cardinal, at 11-under 557, are seven strokes clear of No. 19 San Jose State. Stanford's Rose Zhang leads the individual field, also by seven shots at 11-under 131.
For the Bulldogs, Bae is tied for 17th at even-par 142, Hung is tied for 46th at 146, Mahé is tied for 53rd at 147, Holpfer is tied for 66th at 149 and Don is tied for 90th at 155.
