Bulldogs Ready For Old Waverly Collegiate Championship

ATHENS, Ga. --- The No. 10 Georgia men's golf team will continue the spring portion of its schedule this weekend in the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship.
 
The tournament will take place Friday through Sunday at the Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Miss. The course has been set up as par 72 covering 7,088 yards.
 
Georgia will use a lineup of fifth year Spencer Ralston, senior Davis Thompson, juniors Trent Phillips and Eli Scott, and sophomore Connor Creasy. Fifth year Will Chandler will compete in the tournament as an individual.
 
Thompson retained his spot at No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking on Wednesday. He leads the SEC with a scoring average of 69.50. Phillips is sixth in the league at 70.17.
 
Joining Georgia and host Mississippi State will be Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, East Tennessee State, Kansas State, Little Rock, LSU, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Vanderbilt.
 
Georgia will be paired with Texas A&M and Tennessee in the first round. The teams are scheduled to tee off in 10-minute increments between 11 and 11:40 a.m.
