Bulldogs To Compete In Tiger Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. --- The No. 13 Georgia men's golf team will continue the spring portion of its schedule this week in the Tiger Invitational presented by Jason Dufner in Opelika, Ala.
The tournament will take place Monday through Wednesday at Grand National on the Lake Course, which is a par 72 covering 7,289 yards.
Georgia will use a lineup of fifth year Spencer Ralston, senior Davis Thompson, juniors Trent Phillips and Eli Scott, and sophomore Connor Creasy. Sophomore Nicolas Cassidy will compete in the tournament as an individual.
Joining the Bulldogs and host Auburn will be Alabama, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Florida, Georgia Southern, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UAB, and Vanderbilt.
Thompson leads the Southeastern Conference with a scoring average of 69.67, while Phillips stands sixth at 70.07. They were named to the watch list for the Haskins Award, which is presented annually to the nation's top player, on Friday. Ralston spent last week in Dothan, Ala., in the Mackenzie Tour Qualifying Tournament where he earned conditional membership for the 2021 season once he wraps up his Georgia career.
