ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. — The No. 25 Georgia men's golf team sits in 15th after one round of stroke play at the SEC Men's Golf Championship, hosted at Sea Island Golf Course.

Senior Carter Loflin and sophomore James Earle both shot 3-under par and are tied for 16th. Earle totaled six birdies on the day, while Loflin had five.

Freshman JD Culbreth shot 1-over par, staying consistent through all 18 holes with just one birdie and a double bogey.

Georgia is finding success on the par-five holes. They sit third amongst all teams, shooting 5-under par on those holes.

Ole Miss leads the way in the team standings at 15-under par, with Oklahoma just one shot behind them. Auburn, Texas and Florida all tie for third at 11-under par.
