No. 3 Bulldogs Sweep Ole Miss, 4-0

Oxford, Miss. – The No. 3 Georgia women's tennis team completed another 4-0 sweep over a conference opponent, defeating Ole Miss to improve to 2-0 in conference play and 6-1 overall.
Two Bulldogs closed the gap on their 100 career win milestones with No. 16 senior Katarina Jokic picking up a 6-3, 6-1 win over No. 39 Sabina Machalova on court one to get to 93 total career singles wins. Graduate Elena Christofi is now six doubles wins away after defeating No. 44 Tereza Janatova and Anna Vrbenska 6-3 with partner junior Morgan Coppoc on court two.
The Bulldogs won their seventh straight doubles point thanks to No. 37 Christofi and Coppoc, as well as junior Meg Kowalski and SEC Newcomer of the Week Lea Ma defeated Tiphanie Fiquet and Lillian Gabrielsen 6-3 on court three. Jokic and freshman Ariana Arseneault went unfinished up 4-3.
Georgia clinched the match with Christofi defeating Kelsey Mize 6-2, 6-1 on court six and No. 73 Coppoc defeating Vrbenska 6-2, 2-1 on court four. No. 31 Ma, No. 60 Kowalski and No. 50 Marta Gonzalez all went unfinished in their matches after the clinch.
The Bulldogs will continue their first road trip with a match against Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss. On Sunday, Feb. 28 with first serve set for 2 p.m.
