Georgia Opens Florida Meet with Diving Thursday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Georgia swimming and diving team opened its annual meet against Florida with two rounds of diving Thursday evening at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
In the men's 1-meter, freshman Nolan Lewis continued the strong start to his Bulldog career with a third-place score of 283.20. Fellow freshmen Rhett Hopkins and Timothy Fagan followed behind in fourth (269.25) and fifth (244.88) places respectively.
In the women's 3-meter event, sophomore Meghan Wenzel posted Georgia's top mark with a score of 273.45, followed by senior Tally Brown in sixth at 184.05.
The full meet will begin on Friday at 10 a.m. EDT, with diving contesting the men's 3-meter and women's 1-meter during the swimming breaks. The meet will not be streamed, but live results will be available to paid subscribers on the MeetMobile app.
