QUICK KICKS
Series History
Thursday's match is the 37th all-time meeting between Georgia and Florida, with the Gators leading the series by a 30-3-3 margin. The Bulldogs have prevailed at home twice during the series: a 2-1 victory in 2007 and a 1-0 win in 2019. Last season, the two teams played to a 1-1 draw in both meetings.

Crucial Point in Carolina
Georgia earned an important divisional point last Friday at South Carolina, playing the Gamecocks to a scoreless draw. Despite only tallying two shots on goal and allowing 12 corners, the Bulldogs rode strong goalkeeping from Emory Wegener through 110 minutes of play. Currently, the Bulldogs sit sixth overall in the SEC standings with three matches to play. If the standing holds, it would clinch the Bulldogs' first SEC Tournament bye since 2013.

Wegener Shines in Net
Senior goalkeeper Emory Wegener was an instrumental part of the Georgia's three-match unbeaten streak, posting two shutouts against Missouri and South Carolina. With five second-half saves, Wegener helped maintain the scoreless tie against USC, earning the second SEC Defensive Player of the Week award of her career. Wegener now stands fourth in program history with 18 clean sheets and sixth in saves with 259.

Belisle's Career Year
Graduate forward Mollie Belisle continued her outstanding season with a pair of goals against Kentucky. Currently, Belisle is tied for second nationally with 14 goals and ranks seventh in points with 29. With her current single-season totals, Belisle ranks fourth in school history in goals (14), sixth in shots (68), and seventh in points (29). She is also only the fourth player in program history to post five multi-goal performances in a season, having already tallied five. With seven career multi-goal outings, she is tied for second all-time behind Carrie Patterson (9).

Winning Season Sealed
With the Kentucky victory, Georgia reached 10 wins for the first time in head coach Billy Lesesne's tenure, as well as guaranteed a .500+ season for the second time in three years.

Murguia Nearing History
With an assist against Kentucky, senior midfielder Dani Murguia upped her season total to 10, ranking her fourth nationally. She is only third Bulldog to ever post double-digit assists in a season and is only two away from breaking Suzannah Weathersbee's single-season record.

Nation's Top Trio
Powered by one of the nation's top scorers, the trio of graduate forward Mollie Belisle (14), senior midfielder Dani Murguia (7), and freshman forward Danielle Lewin (7) rank first nationally among trios with 28 total goals, one ahead of second-place BYU (27).

Ranking Report
Following last week's draw at South Carolina, Georgia remained at No. 6 in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Southeast Region rankings for the third-consecutive week, while not receiving any votes for the national poll. The Bulldogs rose to No. 47 in the newest RPI rankings, making them the sixth-highest ranked SEC squad.
