"This was another successful meet for our crew as the elite really started showing some solid marks," said Georgia head coach Petros Kyprianou.  "I am proud of everyone's hard work but some of our young ones need to let the lion out of the cage and push to chase their dream.  I am very happy with the marks of our combined event group as they prepare for their first hep/pent next week.  Overall, this was a very good showing especially for the ones that we rely on to carry us to NCAAs in March.  This is a talented but very young team that is responding well to this level.  Now, we need to get a breather and sharpen our knives for an NCAA/SEC preview battle next weekend in Fayetteville (Ark.)."

Freshman Anna Hall, who is training for her first collegiate pentathlon, posted a second attempt clearance at 6 feet, ½ inches to be the top collegiate finisher (second overall).  She tied the No. 10 mark in the school record books and situated herself in a tie for the No. 2 spot on this year's national performance list.

Fellow freshman Shelby Tyler also had a clearance on her second try at 5-10 to be third overall in the high jump.

On the men's side, senior Darius Carbin had a third attempt clearance at 7-2.50 before going over the bar at 7-3.75 to earn top honors.  Carbin now has two victories in a row this season.

Senior Micaiah Ransby, Hall, freshman Sterling Lester and senior Amber Tanner passed the baton for the team's second win in a row in the 4x400-meter relay.  Their time of 3:36.07 ranks third on this year's national list and second in the school record books.

A week after winning the long jump with the country's fifth-best effort in 2020, freshman Jasmine Moore left Clemson with the nation's fourth-best triple jump (43-8.75) to win during her first try in the event and take over the No. 6 spot on UGA's all-time top-10 list.

Sophomore Titiana Marsh traveled 42-11 for runner-up honors in the triple jump.

Sophomore Elija Godwin rocketed to a victory in the 200m, his first in the indoor event.  He clocked a 21.02 to edge Auburn's Brandon Smiley by .002 to move to No. 11 on this year's NCAA list.  Godwin is now third on the school's all-time list and is the fastest for the Bulldogs since 2017.

Godwin led off the 4x400m relay to end the meet and the Bulldog foursome finished first with a 3:10.78 to take second.  Godwin combined with freshman Caleb Cavanaugh, junior Justes Nance and freshman Matthew Boling to record their season-best time.

In just his second meet as a Bulldog, freshman Haze Farmer went over the pole vault bar at 16-10.75 to win his second competition in a row.  This gave him the school's 10th-best mark in history.

Georgia returns to action at the Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville next weekend.  The Bulldogs' multi-event corps is scheduled to make their season debuts in the pentathlon and heptathlon.
