ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia's Jo Hua Hung was selected as the SEC co-Freshman of the Week on Tuesday after compiling a 3-0 record in match play in the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic last weekend. Hung led the Bulldogs to a third-place finish in the tournament and shared the SEC honor with Emily Price of South Carolina.

Hung, who is from New Taipei City, Taipei, was one of only four golfers to go undefeated among the 40 players in the championship bracket of the LMCC. She played 50 holes of golf over her three matches and trailed her opponent for only one of those holes.

Hung joined the Georgia roster in January as a mid-year enrollee and has made an immediate impact for the Bulldogs. She has a stroke average of 74.14 over 14 rounds and will occupy the No. 1 spot in Georgia's lineup for this week's SEC Championships.

Hung is the Bulldogs' second freshman of the week honoree this season. Jenny Bae, who also joined the Georgia roster in January, was honored on March 13 after she finished ninth individually at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate.

Bae, Hung and Harmie Constantino, the Bulldogs' third freshman, are currently ranked as the No. 2 freshman class in the nation by Golfstat. They have combined for a stroke average of 73.49 over 51 rounds, second only to the 72.92 by Florida State's first-year players.
