ATHENS, Ga. ---Â After claiming the team's first SEC victory with a season-high score of 197.475, the No. 6 Georgia GymDogs are back on the road to face the No. 13 Missouri Tigers on Friday, February 8 at 7:00 p.m. CT at the Hearnes Center. Â

The GymDogs and Tigers' lone conference victory have both been against the Arkansas Razorbacks. Â Missouri beat Arkansas with a score of 196.850 compared to Georgia's 197.475.Â

GEORGIA LANDS SEASON HIGH 197.475 IN WIN OVER ARKANSASÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
The No. 6 University of Georgia GymDogs earned a season-high score of 197.475- 196.125 to claim their first SEC win of the season over the No. 24 Arkansas Razorbacks.

Two Georgia standouts, junior Sabrina Vega and senior Sydney Snead posted a 9.900 or better in three events to lead the GymDogs to victory. Freshman Mikayla Magee posted two season high scores on beam and floor and junior Rachel Dickson landed a 9.950 on floor and 9.900 on bars.Â

A motto that started out the year as "Whatver It Takes" has quickly formed into "We Have What It Takes".  It's no longer about doing whatever it takes to achieve team goals that have been set, it's about knowing they have those skills and confidence to get there. Â

With improvements still to be made, the Georgia GymDogs have showed continued progress throughout the season.  The team keeps climbing and trending in the uphill direction, achieving higher scores each week throughout all apparatuses. Â

SABRINA VEGA HIT NEW MARKS AT AUBURNÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Junior Sabrina Vega led the GymDogs at Auburn, posting a 9.9 on vault and a pair of 9.925's on beam and floor.  She set a season high on vault and beam, while matching her season best on floor. Â
Â
She was the first GymDog to win a beam title on the road since Ashlyn Broussard scored a 9.9 at the NCAA Regional in 2017.Â

Sydney Snead had a career night against Alabama, earning her highest score in the all-around with a 39.600 after earning a 9.900 on vault, 9.800 on bars, and two 9.925's on beam and floor.  Her beam score matches her career high and her bars, beam and floor scores were her best of the season.Â
