Gonzalez is ranked 13th nationally and enters the tournament with an 8-2 record this fall. Wolff is 6-4 this fall and ranked 37th. Wolff and senior Elena Christofi are in the doubles main draw and are ranked 19th nationally with a 3-2 record. The women's singles quarterfinalists, consolation finalists, plus the doubles semifinalists and consolation finalists will earn automatic entry into the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships slated for Nov. 6-10 in Newport Beach, Calif.

In consolation action, Georgia junior Morgan Coppoc defeated Victoria Allen (Florida State) 4-6,6-4,6-2. Earlier in the day, Coppoc was set to face Polina Kozyreva (Syracuse), and she advanced via default. Coppoc is 9-2 this fall. Kowalski and Coppoc played in the qualifying double draw and fell one victory short of the main draw. After winning two matches Monday, they dropped an 8-5 decision to the N.C. State pair of Jaeda Daniel and Adriana Reami.

"It was awesome to see both Meg and Morgan follow up a long day Monday with more tough tennis today," said associate head coach Drake Bernstein. "Their work with Katrin (Koch) definitely showed today in getting through their singles matches. Meg will take care of her body tonight, get a good meal in and be ready for another challenge Wednesday.

"Marta, Elena and Vivian come into the tournament with a lot of matches under their belt in the last couple of weeks. We feel like we are already battle-tested and prepared for our opportunities in front of us Wednesday," Bernstein added.
