No. 1 Georgia Earns Third Consecutive Sweep with Road Win Over Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The No. 1 Georgia women's tennis team (13-3, 8-2 SEC) defeated Arkansas (10-10, 1-9 SEC) on the road, securing its fifth road win of the season and third consecutive sweep.

Georgia secured the doubles point with wins on courts one and three. On court one, Anastasiia Lopata and Patricija Paukstyte defeated No. 39 Carolina Gomez and Anet Koskel, 6-2.
Emma Dong and Anastasiia Gureva clinched the point on court three with a 6-4 win over Jimena Gomez and Alexandra Panagiotidou.
Georgia clinched the match with three straight-set victories in singles play.
On court two, No. 6 Mert led the charge with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Brooke Schafer.
No. 68 Dilek followed on court three, defeating Koskel, 6-4, 6-2.
Lastly, Paukstyte sealed the sweep on court six with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Jimena Gomez, marking her first singles win of the season in just her second SEC singles appearance.
