Meet Notes

ATHENS, Ga. – The seventh-ranked Georgia equestrian team will welcome No. 1 Auburn on Friday, November 9, at 1 p.m. at the UGA Equestrian Complex.

The Bulldogs head into Friday's Southeastern Conference matchup holding a 1-2 record. The Tigers are in the midst of an undefeated 2018-19 season and have maintained the first-ranked position with their 4-0 record.

In October, junior Ali Tritschler was named the Equifit Equitation on the Flat Rider of the Month by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association's (NCEA).

At its home opener earlier this season, Georgia topped Oklahoma State, ranked No. 5 at the time, by a score of 13-6. Four Bulldog riders swept Most Outstanding Performance (MOP) honors over the Cowgirls: Maddy Darst (Equitation Over Fences), Ali Tritschler (Equitation on the Flat), Graysen Stroud (Horsemanship) and Julia Spreng (Reining).

Auburn has recorded a 2-0 SEC record this season, having defeated then No. 2 Texas A&M on the Tigers' home-turf, 14-5, last Friday, after previously defeating South Carolina, 18-2.
