GEORGIA CONTINUES SEC PLAY WITH SEASON HIGHS VS. OLE MISS
After falling to Texas A&M in three sets on Friday at home, Georgia traveled to Ole Miss and forced five sets with the now-ranked fourth-team in the SEC. After securing the first set, the Bulldogs dropped the next two before changing the tide with a fourth-set victory, despite falling 15-12 in the final frame. It was Georgia's second five-set match of the season, with the first against Wofford on Sept. 9.

In the match, a quartet of Bulldogs recorded season-high numbers. Junior Majesti Bass, who had 20 kills on the weekend, rewrote her season stats in kills (14), attacks (28) and blocks (7) against Ole Miss. She leads the team with a .315 hitting percentage. Redshirt freshman Kianna Young and senior Amanda Dachs were essential the fifth set, each adding four kills.Young's four kills topped her career, and Dach's 12 on the match capped her season. Sophomore setter Meghan Donovan also tallied her fourth double-double of the season with 48 kills and 17 digs, which was her most impressive defensive effort on the year. The team also highlighted its most blocks with 12, along with total attempts (178).

Georgia made its 2017 SEC debut playing host to Alabama the Friday before. The Bulldogs took down the Tide in straight sets, holding the Alabama offense to a .157 hitting percentage, led by four blocks from Anna Kate Karstens and double-digit digs from Kendall GLover. The freshman tandem of T'ara Ceasar and Rachel Ritchie headlined the offense, totaling 16 and 13 kills apiece. They were complimented by six-kill performanes from Amanda Dachs and Majesti Bass. The following SEC match, Georgia fell to Auburn 3-0, also at home, despite double-digit digs from Ceasar, Meghan Donovan and Cassidy Anderson.

FRESHMEN PAIR LEAD KILL-CATEGORIES TOGETHER
Ritchie and Ceasar are co-leaders of the Georgia squad in kills and kills per set, with 226 on the season, good for 4.04 per set. Their respective kills ranking fourth in the conference and 48th in the nation. Ritchie's Davidson kill total of 27 leads the SEC in four-set matches played this season.

Ritchie and Ceasar became the first two Georgia players to have 18 or more kills in a match since Oct. 8, 2012 in Georgia's win at Davidson – the tandem topped their own record less than a week later with 20-plus kill matches against Texas Tech. Ceasar posted a career high 23 kills, with Ritchie at 21.

THE 100 CLUB
Sophomore Meghan Donovan and seniors Amanda Dachs and Cassidy Anderson each notched career milestones in the past few weeks. Donovan snagged her 100th career block this weekend against Ole Miss with three on the match.

Dachs tabbed her 100th block against Auburn; the senior collected three blocks in Georgia's win. She's also recorded career highs in blocks twice this season, with five apiece against Texas Tech and Georgia Tech. On the defensive side, Cassidy Anderson posted her 100th service ace of her career against Florida Gulf Coast University on September 9. The senior has provided two aces since, against Texas Tech and Georgia Tech. Her career-high six aces in a match came against Savannah State last year.

CEASAR EARNS THIRD SEC FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD
On Sept. 25, Ceasar marks the first Bulldog to be named Freshman of the Week three times in a single season since the weekly honors for freshman began in 2005. Two other Georgia players have earned the honor twice: Jasmine Eatmon in 2012 and Maria Taylor in 2005. The award marks Georgia's sixth weekly honor in five weeks, which is the most any Georgia volleyball team has acquired in one season. In 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2008, the program had four weekly acknowledgements.

The recognition followed another strong weekend for the native of Panama City, Fla., who led Georgia with 23 kills on the weekend, averaging 3.83 per set. She recorded a .400 hitting percentage with 16 kills in Georgia's win over Alabama on Friday. Against Auburn on Sunday, Ceasar led the defensive front with Meghan Donovan, tallying 12 digs each.

GEORGIA SHINES IN NON-CONFERENCE PLAY
Georgia went 10-3 in non-conference play, which included three tournaments and a collection of individual recognition. After opening the season 4-0 at home, Donovan and Glover headlined the Bobcat Invitational at Ohio.  Guiding the offense to a .279 weekend percentage, Donovan's 13.20 assists per set was boosted by her season-best 51 assists in a competitive match against High Point, which is the second-most by an SEC player in a four-set match this season. The next weekend, Georgia was crowned tournament champions at the Wildcat Invitational at Davidson, with Glover and RItchie named respective Tournament MVP and All-Touranment.

Glover anchored the backrow defense in the two weekends, with 97 digs over the six games, good for 4.41 per set. Glover hit double-digit digs in every match, including 21 in a win at Ohio and 22 against the Panthers. Her effort against the hosting Bobcats ranks third in the league for digs in a three-set match. Glover also became the first Georgia freshman since Erica Clark in September 2007 to hit the 20-dig plateau.
