EUGENE, Ore. --- Georgia's track and field teams finished with a pair of All-Americans following the final event of the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., on Saturday.

The Texas A&M women (72) won the 2010 NCAA team championship while the Lady Bulldogs tied for 26th (10) with three other teams. Texas A&M (55) also captured the men's championship as the Georgia men finished in a four-way tie for 40th (6).

The Bulldog men scored at the national outdoor meet for the 13th consecutive year following sophomore Aaron Evans' performance in the 800-meter run. Thanks to sophomore Nikola Lomnicka's hammer throw title, the Lady Bulldogs have now put points on the scoreboard at the national outdoor meet 15 out of the last 16 years.

Senior Israel Machovec was Georgia's final competitor of the meet in the men's shot put. After advancing to the national meet in the discus in 2008 and 2009, Machovec got his opportunity in the shot put and finished 23rd. He opened with a mark of 55 feet, 7 ¾ inches but followed with two fouls in the event's first round.

Machovec highlighted his final campaign with the Bulldogs by winning the Southeastern Conference outdoor crown. The Dacula native launched a personal-best mark of 60-10.50 on his final attempt to win the league title and shoot to No. 7 on Georgia's all-time list.

Georgia finished the meet with two All-Americans. Lomnicka captured the Lady Bulldogs' 11th NCAA outdoor title and first since 2007 after winning the hammer throw with the second-longest throw of her career. On the men's side, Evans ran the third-fastest 800 of his career to finish third in the finals at the first NCAA outdoor meet of his career.

Georgia team members who qualify will now prepare for the USA Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, on June 24-27.
