D.C. Dawgs Welcome Men's Basketball Team

D.C. Based Alumni Turn Out For UGA, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

The D.C. Dawgs gathered at the team hotel to greet the UGA men's basketball team on Tuesday night.

Valerie Elston, D.C. Dawgs’ Membership Coordinator; Charles Repine, Areon Premo were among the dozen fans in attendance when the team arrived to the hotel shortly before midnight.

Georgia faces off against Atlantic 10 foe Xavier in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament on Thursday in Washington, D.C. The Bulldogs earned their way into the 65-team field, nudging their record past .500 in the process, by winning the Southeastern Conference Tournament last weekend in Atlanta.

Tip-off time is at 12:20 p.m. EDT and will be televised live on national TV by CBS Sports,
