AUSTIN --- Senior Jennifer Dahlgren picked up a win to lead Georgia during the first day of the Texas Relays in Austin on Thursday.

Dahlgren kicked off action for Georgia at the Texas Relays by winning the hammer throw.  Dahlgren, who has won all three of the meets she has participated in  during the 2007 outdoor season, recorded a NCAA regional qualifying throw of 214 feet to top her closest competitor by nearly 14 feet.

In the men's hammer, sophomore Nate Rolfe registered a throw of at least 210 feet for the third week in a row. Rolfe finished fourth with a regional qualifying mark of 210-9.  Junior Kyle Helf took 11th after tallying a regional throw of 189-10.

On the track, sophomore Justin Gaymon wasted little time advancing to the finals in the 400-meter hurdles. Gaymon, who has the second-fastest time in Georgia's record books, clocked a 50.31 to win his heat and had the top finish out of all 69 competitors.  Gaymon will compete in the 400 hurdle finals on Saturday at 1:15 p.m. EDT.
