Ask Coach Felton

Q: Would you be so kind as to give us an update on the injury recovery situation with Dave Bliss, Terrence Woodbury and Kendrick Johnson?
ROBERT BROWN - ATHENS, GEORGIA
A: Thanks for asking Robert. David is in the middle of three months of total rest along flexibility exercises as his treatment. We don't know how it will turn out but we are hoping for the best. Terrence is doing well. He is just starting to get active again and should be fine. Kendrick will have surgery this week on the other ankle. It has been a few months since the surgery on his first ankle and the procedure went very well.
Q: Coach Felton, you seem to be doing a great job in improving our Bulldogs' competitiveness in the SEC. I also noticed your trying to schedule games across the nation to get our name out there. Is this to get access to better recruits? Also, seeing the rate of improvement, how well do you see the team being in the next few years?
JASON SHAW - ROME, GEORGIA
A: Thank you for your comments Jason. We will grow our schedule with our program and ultimately we will play one of the toughest schedules in the country. I like taking the opportunity to play against great teams and getting to different parts of the country to spread the word about Georgia Basketball and have a chance to make statements on the national scene. I am excited by our progress and I believe we will become very good in the next few years.
Q: I played football at UGA years ago, but I am a big fan of yours and what you are doing. My question is......What did George Mason prove to the basketball world about the parity in the NCAA? It is certainly got to be a positive for your younger kids.
