Lady Bulldog Golfers Third At Fall Preview

Sunriver, Ore. --- The No. 2-ranked Georgia women's golf team is third following a 2-over 286 in Monday's first round of the Fall Preview at the Meadows Course at the Sunriver Resort. The Lady Bulldogs are three shots off the pace of Duke and single stroke behind Washington.

Sophomore Allison Martin carded a 3-under 68 on the par-71 layout to lead Georgia's individual efforts. She is tied for fourth, four shots behind Duke's Brittany Lang.

Martin bogeyed No. 4 but used a birdie on No. 9 to get back to even. On the back side of the course, Martin birdied No. 10, No. 12 and No. 17 en route to a collegiate career-low loop.

The Lady Dogs' other counting rounds were a 1-unde 71 from Whitney Wade, a 73 from Kelly Froelich and a 75 from Jackie Beers. Natalia Nicholls posted a 78.
