Auburn, Ala. -- The No. 8-ranked Georgia women's golf team played the final two holes of the NCAA Championships at 3-under par on Saturday morning to finish ninth in the final standings.

Freshman Whitney Wade birdied her 17th hole and sophomores Jackie Beers and Kelly Froelich both birdied their 18th holes as Georgia completed the final round with a 10-over 298.

"We closed out strong, which is positive," head coach Todd McCorkle said. "I still feel like we're better than we played. I hate to use youth as an excuse, but we are a very young team. We'll learn from this."

Individually, Froelich tied for 20th at 292, her second straight top-20 finish at the NCAAs. Wade tied for 44th at 297, Beers tied for 49th at 298, and both Nicholls and Tyler tied for 88th at 307.
