Georgia Still 10th At Bryan National

Browns Summitt, N.C. - The No. 4-ranked Georgia women's golf team posted a 9-over 297 in the second round of the Bryan National Collegiate here on Saturday. That tally was nine shots better than the Lady Dogs' first-round score; however, they remained in 10th place.

Duke posted a 6-under 282 on Saturday to open up a 12-shot lead over the rest of the field at 571. No. 11 Auburn is second at 583, while Georgia is at 603.

Individually, sophomore Kelly Froelich led the Lady Dogs with an even-par 72 in the second round. Additional counting scores were posted by Jackie Beers (74), Lisa Tyler (74) and Whitney Wade (77). Allison Martin shot 80.

Georgia teed off from No. 10 for the second consecutive day. Froelich posted bogeys on No. 10 and No. 15 to turn at 2-over before earning birdies on No. 5 and No. 6 to get back to even par.

Beers is the top Lady Bulldog in the individual field. She is tied for 18th at 148, while Froelich is tied for 35th at 151, Tyler is tied for 47th at 153, Martin is tied for 51st at 154 and Wade is tied for 59th at 156.

Brittany Lang of Duke and May Wood of Vanderbilt are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 4-under 140.
