ATHENS, Ga. - The Georgia Track and Field program has announced three signees during the early fall signing period.
Kim House hails from Atlanta and will join the Lady Bulldogs after completing her career at North Springs High School, where as a junior she was the 2004 State Champion in 400-meters and a finalist in long jump.
"Kim is a versatile athlete who will help us in the long jump, 200-, 400-meters and both relays," head coach Wayne Norton said. "She had a very good junior season and should be one of the best in Georgia in 2005."
Justin Gaymon, of Philipsburg High School in Stewartsville, N.J., will provide a spark for the Bulldogs in the sprints/hurdles area in the fall of 2005.
"Justin was the number-one ranked hurdler on the East Coast last year," Norton said. "With his senior year ahead of him, there is still time for improvement. Coach Jon Stuart and I look for Justin to make up a little for the graduation of Bud Bennett next year."
Jesse Marino will run distances for Georgia following his senior season at Collins Hill High School in Lawrenceville.
"Signing Jesse represents our ongoing commitment to attract the best distance runners in the state of Georgia," Norton said. "His time in the 3200 last spring ranked second in the state. Coach Dave Hartman and our staff think he will develop into an outstanding collegiate distance runner."
