Chapel Hill, N.C. -- The No. 5-ranked Georgia women's golf team shot 302 on Saturday -- the low tally of the 14-team field on the day -- to climb from seventh to fourth at the Franklin Street Trust Tar Heel Invitational here at the Finley Golf Course.

The Lady Dogs' tally was three strokes better than the second-best score of 305 posted by top-ranked Duke. The Blue Devils own an eight-shot lead over the field and a 14-stroke advantage over Georgia entering Sunday's final round.

Summer Sirmons fired a 71 in the second round, the only under-par round of the day. She is tied for sixth place overall, just three shots behind tournament leader Nicki Cutler of Vanderbilt.

The Lady Dogs also received counting rounds from Natalia Nicholls, who shot 74, and Angela Jerman, who carded a 78. Yunny Cho and Sarah Trew both shot 79, Georgia's fifth counter.
