Jon Bollier, who spent two seasons as an assistant coach on the women’s basketball staff at Belmont University, joined the Georgia Lady Bulldogs as the team’s Director of Player Personnel on Aug. 28, 2015.
A native of Leo, Ind., Bollier is no stranger to Athens. He served as the Operations Coordinator on Andy Landers’ staff at Georgia from 2010-13 after working as a student manager for the Lady Bulldogs during the 2009-10 campaign.
His impact on the program has resulted in two NCAA tournaments over the last three seasons, including the team's remarkable run in 2017-18, when Georgia finished with a 26-7 overall record en route to a second place finish in the SEC standings.
“I am extremely excited to add Jon’s expertise and skills to our staff,” Taylor said upon his hiring. “His experience as an assistant coach at Belmont over the last two seasons, along with his previous time here at Georgia, make him a perfect fit for this position. Jon is someone that I trust. I know he shares the same morals that we hold dear to us at Georgia. His ability to teach the game, connect with people and the work ethic and dedication he has shown over the time I have known him speaks volumes to his character and who he is as a person.”
Bollier brings a wide range of basketball experience to Taylor’s staff. He served as a counselor for camps at Butler, Texas and Wake Forrest, in addition to Georgia. He also was the Camp Director for Mill Creek High School's summer basketball camp in 2007-08 and spent two summers coaching international basketball camps as well - in Brazil in 2005 and in Macedonia in 2007.
Bollier played one season of basketball at Gardner-Webb University and Covenant College before receiving his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Piedmont College Athen’s campus in 2009.
He is engaged to Libby Lukens.
